WALKING OUT ON THE DEVIL

 You are meant to walk on what is walking on you; you are meant to defeat what is trying to defeat you.

SCRIPTURE: Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. Psalms 91:3

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You are meant to walk on what is walking on you; you are meant to defeat what is trying to defeat you.

It is confirmed that we are in a generation with very high satanic wickedness in an epidemic proportion. Selfishness, hatefulness and loveless-ness have become the order of the day in our world. There is the degeneration of human sympathy and the escalation of cruelty.  

But the good news is that God has wired His children with enough power to handle the recklessness of the devil and to walk out on him and his devilish operations. That is why God assures us in Mark 16:18, they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them

Beloved, you have been constructed by God to be indestructible; no matter how wicked the devil is, he cannot hurt whom God has hidden; he cannot attempt whom God has kept. The devil is not permitted to harass you; rather you have been empowered to harass the devil. Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk (Luke 10:19 NLT).

The truth is, you are meant to walk on what is walking on you; you are meant to defeat what is trying to defeat you. Why are you afraid of what is meant to be afraid of you?

Today, I decree an end to satanic oppression in your life; receive the power to walk out on the devil and his devilish operations without consequence, in Jesus Name.

1. Know who you are in God and your superiority over the devil.

2. Never agree to be intimidated into cowardice by the activities of the devil around your life.

A STAND WITH GOD'S KEY TO AUDACITY

It is your stand with God that guarantees your audacity; to stand with God is to standout in life.

SCRIPTURE: As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word. 1 Kings 17:1

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is your stand with God that guarantees your audacity; to stand with God is to standout in life.

A stand with God connotes the maintenance of a solid relationship with God. To stand with God is to stand in authority and audacity; it is your stand with God that guarantees your audacity in life.

Our anchor Scripture above reveals how Elijah stood before King Ahab and fearlessly declared that there would be no rain until he had spoken otherwise. What an audacity! It is like a civilian walking up to a military General and dictator, someone like Idi Amin Dada of Uganda or Adolf Hitler of Germany, and told him that he would not have access to the treasury of the country which he governs until he (the civilian) asks him to do so. That would be suicidal!

Now, as brutal as King Ahab and His wife Jezebel were, what was it that gave Elijah the courage to make such utterance right before them and went away unhurt? It was because of Elijah's stand with God.

Beloved, where you stand determines how you end in life. Your stand with God determines your shield in life. Your stand on the Word of God, prayer, holiness or righteousness guarantees your audacity in life.

Today, I prophesy to you, as you determine to stand with God, I decree that your audacity on earth and in the realm of the spirit is guaranteed, in Jesus Name.

REMEMBER THIS: It is your stand with God that guarantees your audacity; to stand with God is to standout in life.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Ensure that you maintain a buoyant relationship with God.

2. It doesn't matter what peoples opinions are, camp with God.

THE RICH POOR MAN

What is the use of prosperity that is devoid of charity? The essence of prosperity is generosity.

SCRIPTURE:  I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive  Acts 20:35

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: What is the use of prosperity that is devoid of charity? The essence of prosperity is generosity.

It has been confirmed that poverty many times is not the shortage of money but the shortage of the right mentality to manage resources. And a major mentality in sustaining prosperity is GIVING.

Please understand that giving is living, and quality giving equals quality living. You don’t know the joy of living until you know the joy of giving. You may be a rich man in the eyes of people but as long as no one is feeling the impact of your wealth, you are a poor man with some money. 

The truth is, life is a seed; what you sow does not go away, but gives you a way. Those you impact in times of progress are those who may impact you in times of problems (Acts 14:19-20).

What is the use of prosperity that is devoid of charity? You are a rich man yet your mother is looking for what to eat in the village, your brothers cannot pay their school fees, your close friend, neighbour or relative died because there was no money to go to the hospital. You are not a rich man at all; you are actually a poor man with some money.

Beloved, the purpose of riches is outreach; the essence of prosperity is generosity.

Today, be delivered from every spirit of stinginess and receive the grace to be a giver, in Jesus Name.

ASSIGNMENT (S)

1. Refuse to be comfortable where there is a need and you do nothing. You can't have it without giving it.

2. Do not wait until you have billions in your bank account before you begin to give; start giving from what you have.

PRAYER: Lord, I break free of every grip of stinginess in my life. I refuse to have it and not give it.

THE SPELL-DELETING BLOOD OF JESUS

The Blood of Jesus Christ is the therapy for the spell of negativism.

SCRIPTURE: Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross. Colossians 2:14

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Blood of Jesus Christ is the therapy for the spell of negativism.

A spell refers to words or a formula supposed to possess magical or diabolic powers. It also refers to the effect or influence induced by such magical formulas or words. 

The spell of negativism, therefore, connotes the existence of a diabolic influence that causes the occurrence of negative events in a person's life. These are happenings that are contrary to the Will or agenda of God for a person.

The truth is, the battle or confrontation of life is not a respecter of persons; that a person is gentle, innocent or a child does not spare him or her from being confronted by agents of wickedness. Being alive alone makes you a potential target of negative spells.

It may interest you to know that there are many people who are victims of negative spells not necessarily because they are sinners.There are other people whose predicaments in life originated from their mother's womb. That was the case of Jabez. Jabez’ limitation followed him from his mother's womb until he cried to God. (1 Chronicles 4:10). 

Beloved, the good news is that the Power in the Blood of Jesus Christ is potent enough to delete every negative spell hanging on your life. The Blood of Jesus is the therapy to the spell of negativism.

Today, by the Power of the Blood of Jesus, I command every spell of negativism on your life to be destroyed. From today, retrogression and stagnation are over forever in your life, in Jesus Name.

1. Take a day or two and fast to seek the intervention of God if you notice any perennial negative pattern in your life or family. 

2. Locate relevant Scriptures for your liberation and release them against the enemy at the place of prayer.

THE KEEPING FORCE OF THE BLESSING

God's commitment to blessing you is also His commitment to keeping you. 

SCRIPTURE:The LORD bless thee, and keep thee. Numbers 6:24

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God's commitment to blessing you is also His commitment to keeping you. 

One of the strongest forces on earth is the force of the Blessing, the Blessing of God. The Blessing of God is like a two-edged sword that exhibits two-dimensional forces the Blessing force and the keeping force (Numbers 6:24). God does not bless you and then leaves you to be destroyed by the enemy. The Blesser is also the keeper.

The truth is,the Blessing of God has so much to offer.  However, due to the ignorance of this understanding, the full dividends of the Blessing of God are not being maximized by many children of God. Divine Blessing goes beyond material or financial possessions or increase; the Blessing is also pregnant with the power for preservation.

God cannot bless you and leave you to be wasted; He cannot bless you and allow your destiny to be eaten up by a witch or a wizard. God's commitment to blessing you is also His commitment to keeping you.

So, to hurt a blessed person is to invite the wrath and hurt of God on your life. 

TODAY, I prophesy to you: the Lord bless you, the Lord keep you, the Lord cause His face to shine upon you and give you peace on every side in Jesus’ Name.

THE COUNSEL OF THE LORD

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: What God said about you is heavier than what any witch or wizard has said.

The counsel of the Lord refers to the purpose, design, intent or plan of God. 

Our anchor Scripture above confirms that we live in a generation where the hearts of men are filled with wicked devices, evil imaginations and demonic orchestrations against their fellow human beings. 

The scripture also makes us understand that despite the evil intents or devices of men, it is the counsel of the Lord that shall stand. It does not matter how wicked the orchestrations, calculations or permutations of the enemy against your life is, it is the counsel of the Lord that shall stand in your life.

The truth is, what God said about you is heavier than what any witch or wizard has said. The Word of God is more potent than any weapon of war – be it physical or spiritual (Isaiah 54:17).

Today, by the apostolic mantle of God on my life, I cancel every negative agenda of the enemy against your life. Every handwriting of evil against your destiny is blotted out now. Concerning your marriage, the counsel of the Lord shall stand; concerning your finance, career, family and destiny, it is the counsel of the Lord that shall stand, in Jesus’ Name.

1.Locate the counsel of the Lord concerning your life by studying the Word of God. 

2. Constantly confess and declare the counsel of the Lord for your life.

BEING FOUND WHERE GOD IS FOUND

Walking with God implies being found where God is found and being absent from where God is absent.

SCRIPTURE: And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word. 1 Kings 17:1

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Walking with God implies being found where God is found and being absent from where God is absent.

Sometime ago, I went for a meeting in a hotel and then met a man who needed my counsel over an issue. He suggested that two of us should sit at the bar section of the hotel and talk. Then I told him that I would not follow him to the bar and sit down with half-naked girls who swim at the swimming pool and also with people drinking alcohol. I cannot be found there; we can talk anywhere but that kind of place is abominable for me. This is because that is an ungodly environment. And doing that would not portray a godly image of a leader to his members. If the people I lead see me in that kind of place, they would ask, What is pastor doing here? I did that because I am not supposed to be found where God is not found. A dedicated person is only found where God is found and absent from where God is absent.

Beloved, to be a dedicated person is to be found where God can be found and be absent from where God is absent. Elijah told Ahab, before God whom I stand (1 kings 17:1). This means, walking with God implies being found where God is found and being absent from where God is absent.

Beloved, make up your mind not to be found in a place where God is absent; do not engage in an activity that drives God away from your life. Do not follow people to an environment where the presence or activity of the devil is perpetrated.

Remember this: Walking with God implies being found where God is found and being absent from where God is absent.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Disengage yourself from any ungodly association you are in.

2. Make up your mind to be found only where God's presence is felt and noticed.

3. Do not neglect the assembling of brethren together(Hebrew 10:25).

Excellence connotes the condition of being superior, especially in performance. It is the quality of being outstanding or extremely good. On the other hand, mediocrity is an average existence.

 

From our anchor scripture, we see that the major secret that made Daniel to stand out even in a strange land was the delivery of excellence on his assignment.

Beloved, avoid mediocrity; do not give out nothing short of your best; be known for excellent delivery. The truth is, if it cannot be done excellently, it should be left totally.

Now, what are the products of Excellence?

1. Excellence brings audience, both with God and man:

When you are excellent, people are forced or compelled to listen to you when you speak. 

2. Excellence brings eminence and prominence:- You cannot be excellent and be in obscurity. People of excellence are eminently prominent people.

 3. Excellence attracts abundance.

You cannot be excellent and end as a pauper. And to be a mediocre person is to be buried in shortage and scarcity.

Thus, to escape mediocrity, you must embrace excellence.

There is a connection between mentality and productivity; there is a link between how you think and your results in life. The truth is, the stronger your mentality the heavier your productivity. Do not just let your hands work, let your mind work ahead of your hands. Nobody will mind the man who does not use his mind. The reason why a mad man is not productive is because he has lost his mind. It is not possible for you to be productive if your mind is functionless. A dormant mind equals a dormant life; a non-strategic mind equals a non-productive life.

To be productive, you need to be strategic. It is the synergy of mentality and activity that guarantees productivity. Activity without mentality is an exercise in futility. This is why you see some people working so hard, yet they see little or no result.

 

There are some employees with zero mentality or initiative; each time you ask them, ‘have you done this and that?’ Their responses would always be, ‘No sir, or okay, I remember now sir.’ That is a liability existence.

But today, I prophesy to you, your mind must work productively. As you maximize your mind you shall see greater results in life, in Jesus Name.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Every Goliath is a set up to steer you up to your next level in life.

 

Daring what others dread simply means doing with boldness and courage what others avoid out of timidity and cowardice. It is facing what others fear. 

Our anchor Scripture makes it clear: despite the many years of war experience King Saul and his Army Generals had, they were humiliated and humbled by Goliath because they dreaded him too much to dare him. It took the fearlessness of a boy called David to face and eliminate the Goliath that others feared. While everyone avoided Goliath like a plague, David ran into Goliath in defence of the Name of the Lord and His people. And that fearless act did not only deliver the Israelites but changed David’s level forever.

Please understand this: Every Goliath is a setup to steer you up to your next level in life; therefore, to avoid the Goliath is to forfeit the next level. If your destiny must be outstanding, doing what others avoid must be your secret. To function like others, is to end like others. The difference between the destiny of David and those of his brothers was in his determination to dare what they dreaded or avoided.

A wise man once said, If you will run in an opposite direction from other people, you will get opportunities that they will not get.’

Beloved, do what others avoid in order to achieve what they cannot achieve.

You shall make it, in Jesus Name.

1. Make up your mind to do what others avoid even when it is not be convenient.

2. Never join the crowd in the wrong direction.

3. Ask God at the place of prayer for the spirit of boldness to take audacious steps that can change your level. 

PRAYER: Lord, Clothe me with the garment of boldness to dare what others dread in order to see the results they cannot see. Help me not to miss the opportunities responsible for my next level O Lord, in Jesus Name.

THE DANGER OF WRONG FELLOWSHIP

To mingle wrongly is to struggle eternally; to dine with the wrong company is to die with the wrong company. 

SCRIPTURE: Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 1 Corinthians 6:14

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To mingle wrongly is to struggle eternally; to dine with the wrong company is to die with the wrong company. 

Fellowship is a friendly association, especially with people who share the same or similar interest. The wrong fellowship is one that has the potential to corrupt a person and prevent them from fulfilling their God-ordained destinies.

Please understand this: The greatest undoing of anybody is fellowshipping or mingling with the wrong people; you can't mingle wrongly and escape struggles in life. If you are an eagle, then mingle with eagles; avoid the fellowship of vultures because vultures eat corruption but eagles do not taste corruption. If you are a lion, what are you doing in the company of hyenas? Hyenas eat rotten meat but lions do not eat anything that is rotten.

It was by fellowshipping with the wrong friend (Jonadab) that Amnon ruined his destiny and lost his life eternally on the account of wrong advice. (2 Samuel 13:1-29).

Beloved, your company determines your destiny; to mingle wrongly is to struggle eternally; who you follow determines what follows you. To dine with the wrong company is to die with the wrong company.

My counsel is, avoid the wrong association in much the same you would avoid cancer. Anybody who is not going in your direction does not deserve your association. Friendship is not by force but by choice. Love is a command but friendship is a choice; you are to love liberally but relate carefully and selectively.

But you shall not be a victim, in Jesus Name.

REMEMBER THIS: To mingle wrongly is to struggle eternally; to dine with the wrong company is to die with the wrong company. 

 

ASSIGNMENT (S)

 

1. Disconnect from any person whose influence makes you compromise your integrity with God.

2. Make it a daily prayer schedule for God to bring the right people into your life.

PRAYER: Lord, disconnect me from any wrong association I entered into knowingly or unknowingly. I refuse to allow the wrong fellowship ruin my destiny O Lord, in Jesus Name

FROM COMMOTION TO PROMOTION

God will not allow what will collapse you to confront you; He won’t allow what will finish you to face you. 

SCRIPTURE: Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God will not allow what will collapse you to confront you; He won't allow what will finish you to face you. 

 

It is confirmed that we are in a generation with so much commotion, challenges and confrontations. Some people have even come to believe that commotion is part of life. No wonder in the days of David, he faced a lot of commotions or confrontations. For instance, as young as David was he battled Goliath (1 Samuel 17:41-54). David was also literary on the run for his life. A death sentence was passed on him  King Saul wanted to kill him by all means (1 Samuel 19:1).

Now, David must have complained like most Christians do today, Why all these battles? God does not like me? Where did I go wrong? What did I do? I pray, I pay my tithe, I am doing everything God said I should do, yet God allowed all these battles to confront me. But I think God may have whispered into his ears, David my son, in all these things you are more than a conqueror'' (Romans 8:37).

Beloved, God will not allow what will collapse you to confront you; He won't allow what will finish you to face you. So, that commotion in your life is a set up for your promotion. It was in confronting Goliath that David’s destiny opened up.

God is turning your life around this season, in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS: God will not allow what will collapse you to confront you; He won't allow what will finish you to face you. 

ASSIGNMENT:

1. No matter what you may be passing through, never murmur against God or think that God does not love you. Don't ever think God is against you!

2. In the face of confrontations or contradictions, develop a dogged faith, trust and confidence in God.

3. Know that inside that situation is your promotion.  

 

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You because You won't let what will conquer me to confront me. You won't let what will finish me to face me. I receive the grace never to bow to the confrontations of life. Let my current trial set me up for my triumph in life O Lord, in Jesus Name.

THE REWARD OF PATIENCE WITH GOD

Those who wait on the Lord never waste in life; those who trust in God never rust in Life.

SCRIPTURE: But let patience have her perfect works that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing

James 1:4.

 

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Those who wait on the Lord never waste in life; those who trust in God never rust in Life.

 

Patience is the ability to stay calm in the face of delays, challenges or controversies. Patience with God is the ability to trust and wait on God in seasons of difficulties, even when the reason does not present itself to wait on Him.

This is very important because those who wait on the Lord never waste in life; those who trust in God never rust in Life.

So, what then is the reward of patience with God?

Patience with God delivers a person from the danger of alternatives.

It is impatience that makes people work out alternatives to God's perfect plans for their lives. And alternatives are the ruins of destiny. That thing that is not the plan of God has the capacity of destroying a person's life and destiny.

Any alternative the devil is offering you is shadow compared to what is ahead for you according to God’s perfect plan. Despise the alternatives and go for reality.

No matter how big water yam is, for instance, it can never serve the purpose of yam – it is not pound-able. No matter how colourful an alternative looks, it can never be as wonderful as the plan of God for you. 

So, settle for the original not the fake; settle for the authentic not the synthetic. Be patient with God and you shall see yourself at the top. Beloved, there is reward for patience with God.

 

REMEMBER THIS: Those who wait on the Lord never waste in life; those who trust in God never rust in Life.

 

ASSIGNMENT (S)

 

1. Ask God for mercy in any area you have had alternative(s) to His plan for your life.

2. Be patient with God and trust Him. Never doubt or suspect God. 

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for forgiveness in any area I have had alternatives to you or to Your plan and purpose for my life. I ask for the grace to be patient in waiting on You for my miracles O Lord, in Jesus Name.

STRATEGY AN ANTIDOTE TO STRUGGLES IN LIFE

Strategy is a plan of action intended to achieve or accomplish a specific goal. It connotes putting a plan into an operational or achievable form. 

Strategy involves putting your mind to work. And nothing works out when the mind is not at work. A mad man, for instance, is not employable; he cannot vote or be voted for because his mind is not working as it should.

It is important to note that the quality of your mentality determines the dignity of your destiny. Not to think is to stink and sink; those who don't reason can't escape the prison. The synergy of strategy is the synergy of energy; to be strategic is to be energetic. It is confirmed that the power of the mind is stronger than the power of the muscle. It is the mind that determines the direction of life.

Now, what does strategy do?

1. Strategy eliminates struggles: Where strategy is lacking, the struggle continues (1 Samuel 30:8). To know how to do it well eliminates unnecessary sweat.

2. Strategy expedites success: Strategy fast-forwards success, it expedites, accelerates and facilitates success (Proverbs 22:29).Nothing is permitted to be successful until someone has decided to be strategic.

Beloved, don't live your life to chance; live your life deliberately, calculatedly and strategically.

You are going up, in Jesus Name.

REMEMBER THIS: Not to think is to stink and sink; those who don't reason can't escape the prison

EXCELLING BY EXCELLENCE

Whatever will not be done excellently must be left totally; what you inject into life determines what you can eject out of life.

SCRIPTURE: Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

To excel is to surpass someone or something. It is to be much better than others. To excel is also to exceed or go beyond expected limits in positive performance or outcome, while excellence is the quality of being outstanding and remarkable in performance or outcome. 

Excellence is key to eminence. Excellence is doorway to prominence. To avoid mediocrity is to embrace excellence. Your passion for excellence determines your portion in destiny. Mediocrity on the other hand is the doorway to obscurity. You cannot do things shabbily and expect to make any meaningful mark in your generation.

Excellence defies sentiments and prejudices. It conquers all forms of discrimination and segregation. For instance, even though Daniel was not a Babylonian, he rose to the top in Babylon on the wings of excellence (Daniel 6:3).

Whatever you do, ensure that you give it your best. A particular thing may be good enough but I have realized that “good enough” is never enough. It is being better than the best that is good enough. Make up your mind to do things with excellence.

Beloved, whatever will not be done excellently must be left totally. Average input can never produce an excellent outcome. It is Input that determines outcome; what you inject into life determines what you can eject out of life.

Please understand that the world has zero tolerance for mediocrity; average existence has minimal or no voice. The voice of a failure is not heard; the voice of a poor man is scarcely heard. You are not qualified to coach in a field you have not mastered. To excel in life and destiny, you must exhibit excellence in all that you do.

You shall get there, in Jesus Name.

ASSIGNMENT (S):

 

1. Make up your mind to be an excellent person and to be known for excellence. 

2. Look for books or materials relevant to your field that can enhance your mentality for excellent delivery, and study them. If you need to take an extra course or academic study on what you do to be better, go ahead. 

 

PRAYER: Lord, I repent of any area I may have displayed mediocrity in time past. Deliver me from every trace of mediocrity or average existence Lord. I receive the impartation of the spirit of excellence to excel in life and destiny O Lord, in Jesus Name.

THE WORD OF GOD AND YOUR SPIRITUAL WORTH

You lack worth if you lack the Word of God; to be Wordless is to be worthless; low Word equals low life.

SCRIPTURE: Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

The Word of God refers to divine utterance, message or a collection of utterances and messages from God. The Word of God is the person of God (John 1:1). The Word of God is the compendium of the promises, prophecies, acts, works and wonders of God to His people (Hebrews 2:4-NLT).The Word of God is the manual or guideline for the Christian faith divinely designed for the believer’s effective spiritual walk with God (John 1:14, Hebrews 2:2).

Now, the ingestion of the Word of God is critical to a person's spiritual worth. The truth is that the devil does not respect the quality of the suit you are putting on or your vocabulary; the devil does not respect your tittle. But he is compelled to respect the intensity of your spirituality through the quality and quantity of your Word-intake (Scripture).

Beloved, you lack spiritual worth if you lack the Word. To be Wordless is to be worthless; to be empty of Word is to be empty in life; low Word equals low life; low Word equals low spirituality, and low spiritual intensity equals low worth in life. 

But today, I prophesy your deliverance from spiritual anorexia. Receive the baptism of fresh hunger and appetite for the Word of God, in Jesus Name.

THE NECESSITY OF THE FEAR OF GOD

Never take God for granted so you don't end up grounded in life.

SCRIPTURE: By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil. Proverbs 16:6

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Never take God for granted so you don’t end up grounded in life.

Sometime ago, I heard the story of some rebellious children who wanted to drive somewhere, perhaps for revelry or for some aimless and reckless socialization. Their mother said to them, ‘Children, may the Lord go with you.’ And one of them replied, ‘mother, there is no space for God in the car anymore, we have occupied all the seats, maybe God can find a space in the car boot.’ What a reckless and blasphemous utterance!

Shortly after they moved, they had a fatal accident that claimed all their lives. But surprisingly, the car boot where God was meant to occupy, according to them, was unscratched including the crates of eggs that were there, none of the eggs was broken by the impact of the crash. Incredible!

Beloved, whatever pushes you against God, church or a genuine servant of God is a setup for damnation. Nothing finishes a person fast like the lack of fear or reverence for God (Proverbs 10:26).It is the bankruptcy of the fear of God that can make a pastor lie on the altar; it is the scarcity of the fear of God that can make a church worker steal from the offering box; it is the lack of the fear of God that can make a believer dupe another believer in the name of doing business; it is the bankruptcy of that fear for God that makes a person leave church at the end of service and proceed to an alcoholic centre or pub to drink himself to stupor. It is the lack of reverence for God that makes a person to proceed to the house of a man or a woman to commit immorality even after Sunday service.

Please, never take God's mercy for granted so you don't end up grounded in life and wasted for eternity. 

But you shall make it, in Jesus’ Name.

YOUR GIFT YOUR VEHICLE TO THE TOP

Your gift is key to your lift; your talent is your ticket to the top; and your potential is your passport to your possibilities.

SCRIPTURE: A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.

Gift refers to talent or natural ability. It is synonymous with aptitude, knack, strength, endowment, potential, flair etc. 

From our anchor scripture, it is clear that a man’s gift makes room for him, especially at the top. A man’s gift has the capacity to catapult him from the bottom to the top.

Your gift is key to your lift; your talent is your ticket to the top; and your potential is your passport to your possibilities. 

Now, our talents or gifts are not at equal level. So, do not let anyone’s feeling of intimidation or insecurity limit your capacity to manifest or express your gifts and potentials.

The truth is, by the time we arrive in eternity, God will ask us, “The potentials that I bypassed several people to deck you with, how did you use them? Did you allow them to be redundant? Did you use them to gain popularity for yourself? Or you used the gifts to expand the Kingdom of God and impact humanity?”

Beloved, you cannot hoard potentials and reach your destiny; you cannot hoard what you can do and become what you are meant to become in life. Impossible!

Today, I prophesy to you, as you determine to deploy your gift, the topmost top in life shall be your portion, in Jesus’ Name.

1. If you have not yet discovered your gift or potentials, go to God at the place of prayer to discover; nobody knows a product like the manufacturer.

PRAYER: LORD, show me what I am meant to do on earth. Deck me with the solution to the equation of this generation. I connect the mantle for the top O LORD, in Jesus’ Name.

MENTAL UPDATE FOR DESTINY UPGRADE

If you do not want your life to degenerate, update; you need mental update for destiny upgrade.

SCRIPTURE: Make sure they are well versed in every branch of learning, are gifted with knowledge and good judgment, and are suited to serve in the royal palace…”

Sometime ago, I travelled to the place of my birth and saw the building that was celebrated around the 1970s as the best building in that community. But I became amazed because the building has now become an eyesore. Imagine that! What was celebrated yesterday is being tolerated today. The truth is, if you do not want your life to degenerate,then upgrade your life.

 

Someone once said “the largest room in the world is the room for improvement.”

 

In this New Year, determine to upgrade or improve yourself on whatever you do. If you are not updated, you will be out-dated; you need to update to have an upgrade; you need to update your mentality in order to upgrade your destiny. The world is moving; people are moving, you can’t afford to be the only one not moving!

 

However, you have to refuse the life of comparison because when you compare yourself with mediocre persons, you may feel like a champion amongst them whereas you are still battling with how to become excellent. It is like a butterfly calling itself or feeling like a bird in the company of flies.

Beloved, at the end of your journey on earth, God is not going to ask you of the number of people you were ahead of; He would ask you of how productive you were compared to the potentials He deposited in you.

 

Today, receive the impartation of the grace for personal update and improvement in Jesus’ Name.

ASSIGNMENT (S)

 

1. Avoid the lifestyle of competition and comparison; competition will only lead to tension and limitation.

3. Update yourself also by reading wide, asking questions, researching around your discipline, etc.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for the grace to be given to continuous upgrade. I refuse to live an outmoded, out-dated and antiquated life. I yield myself to You for total improvement, refurbishing and refurnishing of my mentality for my next level Lord, in Jesus Name.

PUTTING GOD FIRST

To be interested in the interests of God is to be treasured by God; you cannot put God first and come last in life.

SCRIPTURE: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To be interested in the interests of God is to be treasured by God; you cannot put God first and come last in life.

Putting God first in your life means to make God the number one priority of your existence on the earth. It is placing kingdom matters ahead of your personal matters. 

So, when God sees a person who is more passionate about His kingdom than personal pursuits, He baptizes such a person with the mantle needed to impact his/her generation (Matthew 6:33).

The truth is: to be interested in the interests of God is to be treasured by God; you cannot put God first and come last in life.

The reason why many people crash in life is because they lack the God-first mentality; they prefer to put their personal ambitions ahead of Kingdom vision.

Beloved, the question is, in your personal life, who or what comes first? In your career, business or family, who or what comes first? What about your finance? When money enters your hands, what do you do with it first? Do you pay your tithe first or you spend everything, the tithe inclusive? (Malachi 3:10).  And to spend your tithe is to tighten your life; to spend your tithe is to squeeze your life.

Beloved, in this New Year, determine not to tighten or squeeze your life by putting your personal ambitions ahead of Kingdom interests; make God the Centre of your existence. Let your whole life revolve around God. As you do this, I prophesy that this year, 2020 shall be the best year of your life ever, in Jesus’ Name.

2. Make the payment of tithe your number one priority each time money enters your hand.

LOCATING YOUR BEARING IN LIFE

And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli. Luke 3:21-23

Beloved, I welcome and congratulate you for making it to the New Year, 2020. What a faithful God we serve! 

This year 2020 is unique in every way. It is the year where there will be speedy manifestation of God’s promises in your life, family and in our nation. Your long awaited miracle will happen this year. By all means, your level is changing in this year 2020, in Jesus’ Name.

From our anchor Scripture, we see that at the age of twenty-nine (29), Jesus had still not commenced his bearing in ministry; it was after His baptism at the age of thirty (30) that He commenced His bearing, and ‘He began to be’ (Luke 3:21-23).

Beloved, your becoming in life is connected to your bearing on earth. Purpose determines pursuit, and pursuit fuels progress. Any life without a definite bearing becomes a burden; life without purpose is pointless. If this year 2020 must not end in regrets, then you must locate your bearing in God and align with the same. What is your purpose or vision in life? In the year 2020, what do you want to achieve for God? Where do you what to find yourself in December 2020 if Christ tarries to come? What impact would you want to make in people’s lives in 2020? It determines whether you will end the year in regrets or in celebration.

In this year 2020, you shall succeed, in Jesus’ Name.

ASSIGNMENT (S)

1. Go to God in prayer to locate your bearing in life in case you are yet to know your God-given purpose in life. 

2. Write down your visions or the things you trust God to achieve in this year 2020. 

3. Review them from time to time in the course of the year and do those things that would make you realize those visions. 

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the privilege of a new year, 2020. Reveal to me Your purpose for my life. I receive the grace to align myself to Your Will for my life. I shall succeed in 2020, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

THE FEAR OF THE LORD; THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM

SCRIPTURE: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Proverbs 9:10

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Wisdom is needed in order to be relevant in life and make impact on earth.

Wisdom,"according to Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary, is the ability to make sensible decisions and give good advice based on experience and knowledge. It is the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgement; the quality of being wise.

Wisdom is a critical requirement for a profitable life in time and in eternity. This means the absence of wisdom is the abundance of losses – losses in this life and in the life to come. People lose where wisdom is lacking. People even lose their souls in eternity in hell for failure to apply their heart to the wisdom of embracing the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ (Rev.21":8).

Wisdom is the mystery behind an outstanding life in every realm (Ecclesiastes 8:1). Throughout Scriptures,"we see that people who were outstanding, walked with God and made impact in their generation were people of wisdom.  Wisdom is needed in order to be relevant in life and make impact on earth. Solomon, for instance, made impact by wisdom (1 Kings 10":4).

Now,"what is the secret of wisdom? It is the fear of the LORD (Proverbs 9":10). The fear of the Lord is the entry qualification for the school of wisdom. Where the fear of the Lord is lacking,"people are denied access to the Wisdom of God. This fear of God is achieved by the knowledge of the Word of God. The more of His Word you know, the more of His fear you will connect. Men who study the Bible fear the Lord. So, distance from the Word equals the death of the fear of God. As long as the Bible is in your possession and it is not for decoration, you will abide in the fear of the Lord.

My counsel is, study God’s Word consistently and diligently in order to understand what it means to fear God and possess the wisdom of God.

REMEMBER THIS": Wisdom is needed in order to be relevant in life and make impact on earth.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Seek the Wisdom of God at the place of prayer.

2. Let the Word of God be your guide in your life’s decisions always.

ANOINTED BY COMMITMENT

SCRIPTURE: I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: Psalms 89:20 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If God is not first in your life,"your life is not in safety.  The word ‘commitment’ refers to devotion or dedication to a cause, person or relationship. A committed Christian is one who is donated for dedicated service to God, whether in ministry, industry, business or politics, and therefore, has become a natural candidate for the anointing of God. Your personal devotional commitment to God determines God’s commitment to you. It will determine your fulfilment in this life and in the life to come. Your commitment to God also involves your personal prayer life, personal study of the Word and the knowledge of God.  When you are committed to God, you decide and pray to know God like Apostle Paul (Philippians 3":10). The Bible says that the people who do know their God,"shall be strong and do exploits (Daniel 11":32). When God sees you wake up in the morning like Abraham in Genesis 19:27 and before you do anything,"you talk to Him first; He sees you searching concordances and Bible references and different translations, all in a bid to know Him more; then the devil that can forbid your fulfilment in life and frustrate God’s commitment to you has not been born.  Beloved, please note that if your priorities are not in order with God, your possibilities in God are not in view, and if God is not first in your life, your life is not in safety. REMEMBER THIS": If God is not first in your life,"your life is not in safety.
 ASSIGNMENTS": 1. Make a conscious effort to be committed to God in all areas of your life. 2. Ask God for the grace to live for Him.

KEYS TO TERMINATING CAPTIVITY

SCRIPTURE: If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

John 8:36

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: No matter the negative situation you might be passing through, God is interested in bringing it to an end.

Previously, we saw that there is no night situation of life that has no end. This means, no matter the negative situation you might be passing through, God is interested in bringing it to an end. God is interested in setting His people free. That is why He sent His Son, Jesus to die in order to put an end to every form of captivity in our lives.

Now, what are the keys to terminating captivity?

1. Being Born Again

Captivities are broken when we surrender our lives to Jesus Christ. The life in Christ is redeemed from every curse and bondage (Galatians 3:13). When we come to Jesus Christ,"every ancestral power over our lives is broken; this is because the Blood of Jesus is stronger than the blood of your ancestors (1 Peter 1":18-19,"Colossians 1":12-13).

2. The Sent Word

The sent Word is key to breaking captivity and bondage (Psalms 107:20). Sometime ago,"there was a brother who always had nightmares and could not sleep. While studying the Scripture, he came across a passage where the Bible says that God gives His beloved sleep (Psalms 127":2b). Instantly, the demons of nightmare disappeared. The Sent Word is a terminator of captivity.

3. The power of praise

Praise breaks the gates of brass and cuts the bars of iron in sunder (Ps 107:15-17). The power of praise set Paul and Silas free from the bondage of captivity. As they praised God,"the doors were opened and the bands on their hands were loosed (Acts 16":25).

When a man praises God,"He deals with every bondage and chains around his life.

Beloved, make up your mind to engage the power of new birth, God’s Word and Praise in order to deal with every form of captivity in your life.

Remember this": No matter the negative situation you might be passing through, God is interested in bringing it to an end.

HOW TO TRIGGER THE BLESSING

SCRIPTURE: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,"who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ": Ephesians 1:3



THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The level of God’s Blessing in your life is proportional to your level of commitment to God.

It has been established that the Blessing was God’s endowment on man at creation. Although,"this Blessing was lost through disobedience by Adam in the Garden of Eden, Jesus came to restore it to us (Ephesians 1":3).

However, despite the death of Jesus Christ that restored the Blessing, there are triggers to pull in order to unleash the power of the Blessing for maximum impact and benefits. Even though we are potentially blessed in Christ, it is when we pull the triggers that we can experience the real manifestations of the Blessing.

Now, what are the triggers of the Blessing?

1. The fear of the LORD (Gen. 22:16-17,"Psalms 112":1-3)

The fear of the Lord is a trigger of the Blessing of God.

2. The Word of God

The Word of God is the Container of the Blessing of God (Psalms 1:1). The Word of God connects a person to the Blessing of God.

3. The Act of service

When you serve the Lord,"He shall bless your bread and your water (Exodus 23":25). The level of God’s Blessing in your life is proportional to your level of commitment to God.

4. The Act of Giving and Tithing

It is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). This means, giving releases the Blessing of God on a man’s life. This giving also includes the tithe. No giver is permitted to die as a beggar or pauper.

5. The prophetic and priestly Impartation

The prophet or priest over a person’s life is a custodian,"depot or channel of the blessing (Number 6":23).

6. Parental goodwill

Parental goodwill releases the blessing. When you honour your parents,"it must be well with you (Ephesians 6":1-4).

Beloved, my counsel is, access God’s Blessings for your life by pulling the triggers and channels mentioned above.

Remember this: The level of God’s Blessing in your life is proportional to your level of commitment to God.

When you serve the Lord,"He shall bless your bread and your water (Exodus 23":25). The level of God’s Blessing in your life is proportional to your level of commitment to God.

4. The Act of Giving and Tithing

It is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). This means, giving releases the Blessing of God on a man’s life. This giving also includes the tithe. No giver is permitted to die as a beggar or pauper.

5. The prophetic and priestly Impartation

The prophet or priest over a person’s life is a custodian,"depot or channel of the blessing (Number 6":23).

6. Parental goodwill

Parental goodwill releases the blessing. When you honour your parents,"it must be well with you (Ephesians 6":1-4).

Beloved, my counsel is, access God’s Blessings for your life by pulling the triggers and channels mentioned above.

Remember this: The level of God’s Blessing in your life is proportional to your level of commitment to God.

THE BONDAGE -BREAKING POWWR OF GOD

SCRIPTURE: And it shall come to pass in that day,"that his burdenburden  shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. Isaiah 10":27

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Fasting combined with prayer is key to terminating captivity.

Yesterday, we saw that no matter the negative situation you might be passing through, God is interested in bringing it to an end. God is ready to set us free from every bondage and captivity of life. We also saw three keys to terminating bondage; we saw that the decision to be born again, engaging the power of God’s Word and praise are keys to terminating captivities.

In order to make further explorations into the keys to terminating captivities,"we shall look at three more keys":

1. The power of sacrifice

Sacrifice is a captivity terminator and bondage breaker (Psalms 126:1-6,"Genesis 8":20-21). The sacrifice on the altar takes away curses from the land. Sacrifice also turns around the battles of life.

2. The power of fasting

Fasting undoes heavy burdens,"loosens the bands of wickedness and lets the oppressed go free (Isaiah 58":6). Fasting combined with prayer is key to terminating captivity (Matthew 17:21).

3. The power of the prophetic covering

Your prison tenure can expire by your prophetic cover (Hosea 12:13). The children of Israel were preserved by the prophetic cover over their lives and were also brought out of captivity by the same cover.

4. The power of the anointing

The anointing breaks bondages and destroys yokes (Acts 10:38,"Isaiah 10":27). Anointing in this context is not just the oil but the Presence of God that flows through the oil. The Anointing is the Spirit and Presence of God on a man’s life.

Beloved, my counsel is, maximize the power of sacrifice, fasting, prophetic cover and the anointing to terminate every form of captivity in your life.

Remember this: Fasting combined with prayer is key to terminating captivity.

KEYS TO TERMINATING CAPTIVITY

SCRIPTURE: If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

John 8:36

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: No matter the negative situation you might be passing through, God is interested in bringing it to an end.

Previously, we saw that there is no night situation of life that has no end. This means, no matter the negative situation you might be passing through, God is interested in bringing it to an end. God is interested in setting His people free. That is why He sent His Son, Jesus to die in order to put an end to every form of captivity in our lives.

Now, what are the keys to terminating captivity?

1. Being Born Again

Captivities are broken when we surrender our lives to Jesus Christ. The life in Christ is redeemed from every curse and bondage (Galatians 3:13). When we come to Jesus Christ,"every ancestral power over our lives is broken; this is because the Blood of Jesus is stronger than the blood of your ancestors (1 Peter 1":18-19,"Colossians 1":12-13).

2. The Sent Word

The sent Word is key to breaking captivity and bondage (Psalms 107:20). Sometime ago,"there was a brother who always had nightmares and could not sleep. While studying the Scripture, he came across a passage where the Bible says that God gives His beloved sleep (Psalms 127":2b). Instantly, the demons of nightmare disappeared. The Sent Word is a terminator of captivity.

3. The power of praise

Praise breaks the gates of brass and cuts the bars of iron in sunder (Ps 107:15-17). The power of praise set Paul and Silas free from the bondage of captivity. As they praised God,"the doors were opened and the bands on their hands were loosed (Acts 16":25).

When a man praises God,"He deals with every bondage and chains around his life.

Beloved, make up your mind to engage the power of new birth, God’s Word and Praise in order to deal with every form of captivity in your life.

Remember this": No matter the negative situation you might be passing through, God is interested in bringing it to an end.

Freely you received

Freely ye have received, freely give. - Matthew 10:8 LET us be on the alert to give to all who are hungering and thirsting the blessed food which has so greatly refreshed and strengthened us. If they do not get it they will faint by the way as they go looking for other provisions. We have the very thing which all of the household of faith need; without it they cannot maintain their standing, they cannot press on, they shall surely become discouraged....Whatever we may have of financial means for sending forth the bread of life to others, or whatever we may have of knowledge of the Truth, is neither to be selfishly hoarded nor selfishly partaken of by ourselves. It is to be consecrated to the Lord, and out of that consecration the Lord will bring blessing to others and increased blessings upon our own heads and hearts.

The lord's consecrated people

He that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster. - Proverbs 18:9 WE cannot see wastefulness in any of the Lord's consecrated people without feeling that, however great progress they have made in understanding the mind of the Lord in some respects, they are still deficient in this particular. An appreciation of the gift and respect for the Giver implies carefulness and a stewardship in respect to all that comes to us from our heavenly Father--things temporal and things spiritual. According to our Lord's parables He is measuring our love and zeal in a considerable degree by our use or abuse of the talents, opportunities, blessings, temporal and spiritual, now bestowed upon us.

CLOSE TO HIS HEART

He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust. - Psalm 91:4 SO close to His heart does Jehovah gather His loyal and faithful children that they feel the warmth of His love, and the responsive language of their hearts is, "I will abide in Thy tabernacle"--under Thy protection--"forever:" "I will trust in the covert of Thy wings; for Thou hast been a shelter for me and a strong tower from the enemy; for Thou hast heard my vows"--my consecration--"Thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear Thy name." Psalm 61:4, 3, 5--

JESUS IN THE SCRIPTURES

Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me. - John 5:39 AS OUR text points out, the Lord is revealed in the Holy Scriptures, and those who would know him should seek their information from that quarter. Under divine providence, apostles, prophets, and teachers are necessary, indispensable. But no words of man are to be taken instead of the Word of God. On the contrary, their presentations are to find acceptance only in proportion as they are found to be in harmony with the Scriptures, and to discern this harmony the Holy Spirit is necessary. The Scriptures must be searched, but only by coming into a condition of heart harmony and teachableness, and then by a full consecration receiving the Holy Spirit, can we hope to understand the divine message and to obtain therewith the eternal life which it promises to those guided and taught of the Lord. `

FAITH IN GOD

Have faith in God. - Mark 11:22 OUR daily experiences since we became the Lord's followers have been guided and guarded apparently by the power unseen, to the intent that as pupils in the school of Christ, we may all be taught of Him and develop more and more of the graces of the Spirit, and particularly more faith. How important this item of faith is we probably cannot fully appreciate now. It seems to be the one thing that the Lord specially seeks for in those now called to be followers....So according to our faith will we be able to rejoice even in tribulation. We cannot enjoy the sufferings; we can enjoy the thought which faith attaches to them, namely, that these are but light afflictions working out for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

NEW CREATION REALITY

I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection. - 1 Corinthians 9:27 OUR text is a great lesson of itself. It brings to our attention the fact that, like the apostle, we should recognize ourselves as new creatures in Christ Jesus, for whom “old things have passed away, and all things have become new,” and acting from this standpoint the new creature should keep a continual supervision of the old nature, its desires and affections, and should keep these continually under or subject to the new nature, and the higher law should bring it gradually into full subjection, yet hoping, yet praying for the glorious consummation of the first resurrection, when the new creature, the new mind or will, shall be clothed upon with the spiritual body. Such a keeping under of the body will include wisdom and control in respect to what we eat, as well as what we drink and what we wear, and our every act, word, and thought. `

THE TRUE CHURCH

The wise shall understand. - Daniel 12:10 DEARLY beloved, we are permitted to enjoy wonderful things! By the grace of God we are privileged to see the meaning of things that were once mysterious, not only to us, but to our parents. While some in Babylon are going into infidelity, some out of Babylon are becoming stronger spiritually, entering by hope “into that which is within the veil.” If Christ is our Forerunner, we shall enter there with him. To do so will mean to become partakers of The Messiah, as symbolically represented. The true church is to become associated with Christ in his kingdom. Then will come the promised blessings to “all the families of the earth.” As we perceive the consistency of the divine plan of the ages, our hearts are full of thanksgiving to God. We see that the new dispensation will be ushered in with “a time of trouble such as never was”; and that this time of trouble is located, among other ways, by that prophecy which tells that “many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased”; that there will be a time of trouble; but that “the wise shall understand.” From what source do the wise receive their instruction? They will understand according to the wisdom from on high--in humility accepting the divine Word and being blessed in so doing. `

the affairs of life

Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. - Matthew 6:28 OUR Lord calls attention to how such simple things in nature should be studied, be considered. The lessons to be learned in connection with all the affairs of life will be helpful to such as approach the study from the right standpoint, of faith in the Creator, and a realization that He is necessarily the embodiment and representative of the very highest and very noblest qualities of which the human mind could conceive;-- that He is perfect in Justice, perfect in Wisdom, perfect in Power, perfect in Love....The heart that thus considers makes progress, grows in grace, in knowledge, in love. The heart that fails to consider the little things fails to be able to appreciate the larger things, and thus is hindered from a proper consideration of God and from a proper appreciation of His plan, and thus from a proper appreciation of His character.
